#+title: About this site #+date: 2026-11-03 #+status: in progress #+ailvl: 2 #+html_head: * Technical aspect This website is powered by a Rust static site generator (with a tight coupling generator/content) using the library [[https://github.com/svaiter/pullorg][svaiter/pullorg]]. Most of the content is written in [[https://orgmode.org][org-mode]] and authored in [[https://www.gnu.org/software/emacs/][GNU Emacs]]. Individual page sources are available (pre-compiled). For instance, the source of this page is available [[https://samuelvaiter.com/colophon/colophon.org][here]]. Hosting & deployment is provided by [[https://www.netlify.com][Netlify]] except for larger files (pdf, videos) hosted by [[https://www.cloudflare.com][Cloudfare]] R2 service. Domain is handled by [[https://www.ovhcloud.com][OVH]]. Thin and GDPR-compliant analytics are provided by [[https://www.goatcounter.com][GoatCounter]]. * AI usage As stated above, the SSG used is "vibecoded". Regarding the writings, the situation is mixed. I have ~5 rough levels of assistance: - *0 none*: no AI tool used whatsoever (typically older works). - *1 proofreading*: AI checked spelling, grammar or phrasing; content and wording are mine. - *2 assisted*: AI helped with parts (code, figures, restructuring, drafts of passages); I wrote most of the text and checked everything. - *3 co-written*: substantial parts drafted by AI, then heavily edited by myself. Or vice-versa. - *4 generated*: generated by AI, with little or no human editing. I try to keep a AI disclosure on each page where AI was used at some point, giving a bit more explanations. * Previous versions A few earlier faces of this website, as preserved by the [[https://web.archive.org][Internet Archive]]. Screenshots were rendered from Wayback Machine replays in October 2026, so some /i)/ assets may be missing, /ii)/ this is not the exact date of the redesign. #+begin_export html
